Patricia Clemmens
Patricia Clemmens has been painting all her life. From a young age, she has always been very drawn to her natural surroundings and has grown to love translating that curiosity onto canvas through oil paints.
Patricia lives in Oro-Medonte Ontario with her husband Brendan and two young boys Mitch and Joey. Patricia works as a full-time artist from her home studio, often into the late evening hours after her boys have been tucked into bed and her world as a Mom becomes quiet…she fills herself back up and finds her way back to herself through paint.
Patricia loves to explore the relationship between light and shadow and how the simplification of them plays together to create a somewhat whimsical quality which adds to the overall contemporary feel of her landscapes.
“Painting is where I come to play. It’s where I get lost and also where I find my way back to myself. It’s where I feel free but also challenged, it’s where I can express my inner joy, calm and wonder. I hope that quiet strength and joy are translated to others as they view and experience my work as well.”
