Frank Ripley

Frank's artistic journey began on a farm in Southern Ontario, where he nurtured a deep passion for creativity and problem-solving. After high school, he pursued welding and carpentry, trades that laid the foundation for his artistic endeavors.

Nine years ago, he took a bold step, leaving behind a traditional career path to fully dedicate himself to creating three-dimensional artworks. This leap of faith allowed him to fully immerse himself in his passion, bringing his artistic visions to life. For the past nine years, he has operated a creative workspace in Orillia, Ontario, equipped with a studio and metal workshop. Here, he often collaborates with other artists and local businesses, fostering continued growth in both size and technical complexity of his projects.

As a self-taught industrial artist with over 15 years of experience, including nine years professionally, he has been recognized for his innovative thinking and meticulous attention to detail. His love for the outdoors and nature has greatly influenced his work, often serving as a primary source of inspiration.

“My design approach is rooted in thorough analysis and research into various facets of life, such as physics, anatomy, biology, materials, proportion, size, and weight. Driven by continuous curiosity, I explore new creative and technical avenues, pushing the boundaries of my imagination to foster growth and discover new possibilities.”
