Fred Rutherford

Fred Rutherford is a Toronto-born photographer and graphic designer living and working in Corbyville, ON. Fred was formally educated in graphic design and spent many years in the field creating new and innovative technologies.

He felt the pull of photography in his 40s and enjoyed many years of sports photography and family photography while always bringing his artistry to the forefront of his craft. In more recent years Fred has photographed for Jazz and other music festivals and photographed for travel journalism articles. His true passion is capturing urban and rural landscapes as well as the people who inhabit various areas of the places he travels. Prince Edward County holds a special place in his heart and it is evident in his work.

"As a photographer, my goal is to capture the moments that are passing people by. We spend so much time looking at our phones and rushing around with day-to-day life, that we miss some of the beauty in the world. At my core, I am a storyteller. I want to find the elements that make up a place or a person and tell their story with a photograph. I strive to find the exceptional in the every day."
