Carolyn Carriere

Carolyn is a self-taught artist living and painting in Sherkston, Ontario.
Carolyn attended St. Lawrence college in Kingston, Ontario for Medical Laboratory Science. She has developed a keen eye for detail through years under the microscope and credits it as a tool which has enlightened her to see the more intricate parts of nature.

Carolyn grew up in an outdoor loving, military family which resulted in strong roots for exploring and learning about the natural world across Canada and beyond.

Carolyn's current style is to replicate the unique beauty of flowers and birds onto canvas with acrylic paint through realism.

“Despite pursuing a career as a lab tech, my interest in the arts has always remained. My younger self spent a lot of time drawing and crafting of all sorts.  I was often involved in youth programs in the arts, and still to this day continue to take courses to improve my knowledge and keep my creative juices flowing!

Most recently I’ve found immense joy and fulfilment in painting flowers which are often inspired from photographs of our own backyard flower gardens. This newfound passion is one I hope to pursue for many years to come.”
