Abbie McLeod
Abbie McLeod is a Canadian artist based in Windsor ON. Abbie has considered herself an artist since she could hold a crayon, with her earliest memory being of drawing with her dad at the kitchen table. Abbie has been drawn to the arts throughout her entire life, playing piano, trumpet, crocheting, embroidering, and knitting.
Abbie is currently attending the University of Windsor studying business and hopes to have a career in marketing! This career path combines her love for business and her passion for creativity.
Abbie’s works combine her love of colour and odd proportions in whimsical portraits. The portraits highlight features that some might consider insecurities, prompting the viewer to see the beauty in the unordinary. Abbie similarly paints fish, using bright colours and odd proportions.
Abbie is beginning her career as an artist and hopes to continue to add colour and creativity to every aspect of her life.
“I’m inspired by my senses. I have Synesthesia, so the colours and shapes I see when I listen to music, eat food or touch textures influence my artwork deeply”.
